We are a proprietary trading firm and a member of the Hong Kong exchange specializing in derivatives. Our activities include being a market maker and we are expanding into Korea and Japan.

Our medium term goals include opening of a US office in 2009 and a European office in 2010.

We are currently seeking candidates for the post of: Software Developer JAVA (GUI)

The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for developing user interfaces for our in-house developed trading systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Design and implementation of Client User interface (JAVA)
-Work with server side developers to implement functionality to the user
-Work with traders to design the user interface to maximize their productivity
-Maintain a consistent look and feel to applications developed in house.
-Provide Tier 3 supports for client side applications.
-Work with Support and Development to improve procedures and implementation of systems.

Requirements

-Good understanding of User Interface flow and design
-Solid grasp of client server integration (socket & multi-threading)
-General Support knowledge

Other Requirements

-University Degree in Computer Science
-3+ year of experience implementing User Interface
-Experience with Linux is a plus
-Good command of spoken and written English
-Willing to relocate to Hong-Kong (relocation package provided)

Salary range: 25 000-40 000 HKD per month (around 2.500-4.000 euros/month - net income)
